In a Nutshell
At RMIT University's GEElab, we are researching how game design thinking can positively affect and alter architecture & urbanism, mobility, popular media, storytelling, engagement, other sciences as well as society itself.
Sven Krome recently attended the UX of Autonomous Driving at the International Conference on Automotive User Interfaces in Eindhoven/NL.
The worshop featured a diverse group of researchers from chip-manufacturing companies, car manufactures and UX/UI researchers/designers. The core activty was to brainstorm applications and concepts for future driving scenarios.
Sven's input was a position paper on the Design Space of Stresslessness in Semi-autonomous Driving Experiences. The three stress-aspects are: 1. Anger and aggression, 2. Fear and anxiety, 3. Fatigue and boredom. In particular, the scenario of stop-and-go situations controlled by a Traffic Jam Assistant were explored.
The paper and workshop are all areas GEElab are exploring as part of the Audi Urban Future Initiative.
