Stress-Less Driving

Just like in I Robot, autonomous cars are on the horizon in car development. And whilst robots are not specifically attacking cars, there are a number of key stresses on any commute that may affect a passengers experience.

GEElab PhD researcher, Sven Krome - who is committing research for Audi, has been seeing what its like for commuters by driving them to and from work. Filming his passengers as he drives them to their destination, he has been charting the stresses of the journey in the hope to elicit information on how to make the car-transport experience more enjoyable for the passenger. This information and other key learnings will form his thesis on 'Gameful and Playful Stresslessness in the Automotive Domain'.

Sven's research will be presented in the upcoming 6th Annual International Conference on Entertainment Computing (ICEC) in October.
