TEAM QUALLEN Presents

Audio Arc:
A multiplayer game about finding silence in a world infiltrated with mobile ringtones.

Player Instructions:

Each player requires:
  • A mobile phone with an alarm-set function
  • Blindfold

Game requirements:
  • Game can be adapted to any location.
  • An even number of players.
  • Suggested: 6-12 players
  • Plus 1-2 people to assist in setting up phone alarm ringtones in pairs and to ensure safety.

Game Setup:
Players position themselves around a space. Once in position players will put on their blindfolds. Phones are distributed to each player, having had their alarms set to default ringtones in unique pairs. Alarms are set a few minutes in advance of the game starting so they all activate at the same time. Once the phone alarm activates, each player must locate the other player with the matching ringtone whilst blindfolded.  Once players with matching ringtones have found each other they can remove their blindfolds. They are then free to use their mobile ringtones to distract or assist the remaining players to find their audio match.

NOTE: Person responsible for safety will guide blindfolded players away from hazards as necessary.

Aim:
Search for a matching ringtone whilst blindfolded.

Extension Pack: Audio Apocalypse
This mode of game play supports a broader range of sound possibilities. Sound can be imported from other sources beyond default ringtones and many,  many more players can be involved.  Sound maybe selected around a theme. Bring on the apocalyptic cacophony!
